We have news worth celebrating.
At our most recent board meeting, the MCIE Board of Directors voted to name Tim Villegas as Chief Executive Officer. Tim has been guiding this organization through a period of transition with steadiness, care, and a deep commitment to the mission. Watching him lead has only reinforced what many of you already know: Tim belongs at the center of this work.
Tim has served MCIE for six years, most recently as Chief Growth Officer and brings deep familiarity with our programs, partnerships, and strategic direction. Prior to his role as Chief Growth Officer, Tim served the organization as Director of Communications and has been the champion behind our Think Inclusive Podcast.
Since 2012, Think Inclusive has been one of the leading voices in inclusive education, featuring straight-talk conversations with educators, advocates, and self-advocates who are changing systems. With over 250 episodes, Think Inclusive reaches a dedicated, passionate audience of educators, families, and school leaders who are actively working to make inclusion a reality in their schools and communities.
A long-time inclusion advocate, Tim was recently named one of the top 35 influential thought leaders in special education.
